Design & Inspiration Creating an inner city look with Style Source Book February 14, 2022 We have created a minimalistic interior, investing in a neutral colour palette to keep it fresh and clean, whilst playfully injecting pops of blush, green and brass elements. To ensure our look embodies character and warmth, we have chosen Abode Coastal Byron Bay Spotted Gum, a Rigid/ Hybrid flooring, and paired this with the Emotions 33 Blush rug to soften the space, whilst also adding comfort, texture and liveability. It is paramount for us to be able to communicate our vision to our clients in a clear and effective way. Style Sourcebook is a tool that enables us to illustrate our ideas by combining texture, products, proportions, colours, and patterns into a cohesive mood board that overall tells a story. When selecting what components work best for our look, we loved using Choices Flooring’s ‘RoomView’, an inventive software that gives us the ability to envisage what flooring, rug or window furnishing option may be suitable for our style with the visualiser tool. A quick and practical tool that allows us to see a preview of the product in our chosen space. As designers, we are always looking for ways to convey a look and feel of a space to a client in a creative way. By using Style Sourcebook and Choices Flooring ‘Room View’, we were able to combine the use of materials and design elements to execute our Inner-City Living Look.
